The SSC Land Streamer is designed for high-speed, high-resolution seismic acquisition. It is a series of geophones, mounted on metal sleds, tied to strong polyester webbing. Each sled has a pair of outriggers to keep it vertical.

A typical system consists of a land streamer plus a DAQlink 4 seismograph and an accelerated weight drop source. Connect the Land Streamer to back of the source and the source to the back of the truck for a fast land acquisition system.

Like Marine Streamers, Land Streamers are an efficient method of acquiring data in general. They require less equipment and less effort.

And like marine streamers, they can be deployed in 2D or 3D configurations. Land Streamers can also be used with Vibroseis sources and with vertical or shear wave sensors.

Land Streamers can be used to acquire all types of data, but the system is especially suitable for rapid MASW acquisition.
