EPC provides customized Geotechnical CT Triaxial Testing Systems and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Soil-Water Characteristic Curve Testing Devices to meet users’ specific scientific research needs.


Standard geotechnical triaxial instruments are used to measure soil and rock sample strength and analyze stress-strain curves. However, since test specimens are non-transparent (encased in rubber membranes), their internal microstructural changes and failure surface formations cannot be directly observed.


CT 3D scanning is the best method for studying the internal microstructures of opaque materials, providing a 3D reconstructed model and a clear visualization of internal weak planes, failure surfaces, and particle breakage, which are otherwise invisible in conventional tests. CT imaging also enables measurement of strain, volumetric changes, and other key mechanical parameters that standard methods cannot capture.


The custom EPC Geotechnical CT Triaxial Testing System combines triaxial testing and industrial CT imaging, allowing researchers to simulate stress conditions under various triaxial loads and study the effects of stress on internal microstructures. This system is applicable for:

  • Studying triaxial stress and fracture behavior of shallow weathered rocks

  • Researching particle breakage in marine geotechnical island reef materials
